Pat Sauer founded Identity Capital in 2013, which specializes in growing the identity and market share of retailers and service providers across the United States. Pat is relentless in his pursuit of creative solutions that solve his client’s capital and development needs. In Mr. Sauer’s career, he has brokered, developed or acquired more than a billion dollars in real estate properties. In his current capacity, he is backed by significant capital and relationships that rely on his expertise to grow their businesses. He has close relationships with Academy Sports and Outdoors, Hobby Lobby, Raising Canes, Sleep Experts, Havertys Furniture, Quick Quack Car Wash, Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market, Garden Ridge (now At Home), and others.
Previously, Mr. Sauer co-founded Accelerated Development, an affiliate company of Velocity Retail Group, after more than 25 years of experience in the brokerage and development arena. Pat has extensive expertise in build-to-suit development, shopping center development and value-added retail acquisitions and redevelopment in major markets throughout the United States.
Prior to founding Accelerated, he expanded his shopping center development resume with Cypress Equities of Dallas (Staubach’s Retail Development Company), and brokerage skills with CBRE as a Senior Account Manager specializing in high level retail tenant representation where he worked with retailers such as CVS Pharmacy, Smart & Final, Citibank, Havertys Furniture, Bridgestone Firestone, Sleep Experts and Floors Today. At CBRE, Mr. Sauer managed brokerage teams and developers to create critical mass expansions for these retailers in multiple U.S. markets.
Earlier in his career, he managed development for US Restaurant Properties, Inc., a Dallas-based REIT NYSE (now part of GE Capital), where he was the Vice President and Director of Development managing build-to-suit projects primarily in the fast food and service station categories. He was also with Mobil Oil Corporation for over 9 years where he specialized in new store development projects across the United States.
Pat has an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from Averett University in Danville, Virginia graduating with Magna Cum Laude Honors. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Project Management Specialty from Texas A & M University. He is a member of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students – Century Club and a member of the Lettermen’s Association (Football) at Texas A&M University.
Pat enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching sports and is a member of the Highland Park Radio Broadcast team for the Scots. He adores his wife of 33 years and his four grown sons.
